This is a website about the Lango people (Langi) of Northern Uganda. The Lango (plural Langi) people live in Lango sub-region in the north-central area of Uganda, north of Lake Kyoga. Lango sub-region comprises the districts of Amolatar, Apac, Dokolo, Lira and Oyam. The population of Lango is about 1.5 million according to the 2002 census.  Source: Wikipedia.com. Read more

Lango Districts

 

Apac District

Apac District is located in northern Uganda, sharing the boarders with Oyam in the North, Lira in the East, Nakasongola in the South and Masindi in the West.  Source: Uganda Communications Commission. Read more 

 

Amolatar District

Amolatar District is located in Northern Uganda and is bordered by the districts of Dokolo in the North-east, Kaberamaido in the east, Kayunga, Kamuli and Nakasongola in the South; and Apac in the north-West. Source: Uganda Communications Commission. Read more  

 

 

Dokolo District

Lira District 

Lira District is the parent District of Lango, located in northern Uganda. All the other districts in the sub-region used to be part of Lira District. It is 347 km from Kampala the Capital City of Uganda and is bordered by the districts of Pader in the North, Dokolo and Amolatar in the South, and Apac and Oyam in the West.  Oyam District

Oyam District is located in Northern Uganda and is bordered by the districts of Gulu in the North, Pader in the North East, Masindi in the West, Amuru in the North-West , Apac in the South and Lira in the East.
