Pork & Beef now Imported from Kampala

Sad news for pork and meat eaters: following the reported outbreak of a strange pig disease and foot and mouth disease in Lira district, top hotels operators in town are now importing the pork and beef from outside the district.

Bank of Africa has opened their new branch in Lira town to boost business in Lango sub region. The chairman board of directors John Carruthers said the branch will not only address the problems of non-banking population but will also tap the tremendous business growth potentials which Lira town offers.

AS butcheries and livestock markets remain closed due to the foot and mouth disease outbreaks in northern Uganda, the prices of fish, chicken and eggs have skyrocketed in the region.
