The latest sleaze from Lira district is that some women, believed to be connected with FDC party have invaded UPC party leadership and are using their feminine charms to create confusion and frustration in the party, according to Lira District UPC leader Dan Okello.

The UPC boss says an independent female legislator in Lango sub region has got her own ways of winning profound favours from a top UPC leader.

“These people have started using very many ways of disorganising UPC party leadership and support including use of their natural God given bodies and money”, Okello Daniel recently told reporters during a press conference at his home on Oyite Ojok Lane in Lira town.

“One has used her charms on Lira municipality MP Jimmy Akena Obote”, he futher lamented, allegation which MPAkena rubbished as nonsense.

Lira UPC boss said that FDC party is desperate .He also attacked UPC national chairman Hajji Badru Wegulu for supporting MP Amongi’s return to UPC recently.

Okello alleged that UPC party leaders who sided with Amongi during her mobilization in Oyam South last week are on the FDC payroll and that MP Amongi’s return has caused a lot of confusion.

MP Amongi however said that Okello Daniel is expressing disrespect to UPC leadership at the headquarters who presided over her return to the party last week.

She added that Okello Dan is in charge the party leadership of Lira distinct only and wondered why he is interfering with his counterparts from Oyam district.
