The Minister of Education and Sports has pledged to disburse teachers’ salary on time and to strengthen the inspectorate sectors. Naimerembe Bitimazire made the assurance to teachers last Monday in Amuru Town Council when commissioning the packed lunch campaign under the theme ‘’feeding for better learning’’.

She explained that since Universal Primary Education began, feeding the beneficiaries of the project hasn’t been clear to uphold the pupils at school to complete primary education. She further said Packed Lunch Project is meant to mobilize parents to send their children to school with packed lunches as it was the case in the past.

The minister added that teachers should not get worried of their facilitations, accommodation and salary because she is doing everything round the clock to see that teachers are respected, accommodated, facilitated and promptly paid because her ministry has a budget of 2.5 billion Shillings to avert challenges hindering effective teaching.
