THE National Agriculture Advisory Services (NAADS) has donated 428 piglets to 39 farmer’s groups to boost piggery farming in Akokoro Sub County in Apac district.
Addressing the beneficiaries last evening (March 23) at the sub county headquarters yesterday (23th March2009), the sub county NAADS Coordinator James Obira said the sub county intends to improved the life of their farmers through farming.
He said NAADS will promote several enterprises in the sub county for immediate resolution of financial constrain at the household level.
The sub county LC 3 chairmen Robert Olinga Otolo said Akokoro Sub County has earmarked 63 millions shs for the financial year 2009/2010 to improve the life of over 3406 farmers in the cub county.
He said the sub county will donate modern bee hives to 225 farmers and improve citrus to 2650 farmers in the sub county.
