APAC district local government has given out 31,000 improved fish fingerings to seven farmers groups to boost fish farming in the district.
While addressing the beneficiaries at the district headquarter this morning (March 30) Assistant district fisheries officer James Opollo said the improved fish seeds will mature within only six month
Opollo said the district decided to donate 17,000 oreocromis niloticas and 14,000 mossambicas to fish farmers in the district.
He said the district has set aside over 82 million shs to improve fish farming in the fifteen sub counties in Apac district under district livelihood support programes (DLSP).
The beneficiaries were from Aboke, Balla, Akalo and Ayer sub counties.
