US military track and engineers at the site
Business along the borders of Lira, Pader and Gulu will now smartly start flowing after the dauntless United States military and Uganda people?s defense forces tactful engineers successfully constructing the once broken Aromo Bridge in Lira district.
The people of Aromo will never again be cut off from their main town of Lira or other towns in northern Uganda.
This bridge was broken by the military truck sometimes back. The US Army Engineers from their department code named 'SEABEES' together with engineers from the UPDF Construction Brigade based in Maga Maga have finally declared the construction of Walela Bridge in Aromo Sub County complete.
Dozens of US military chiefs and diplomats are expected soon to tour the bridge according to site chief engineer Poellot Jonathan.
Engineer Poellot Jonathan said, the bridge, if well maintained will last for 100 years before any major repairs are done.
5th division UPDF Spokesman captain Deo Akiiki says that this is all it means having productive and professional armies. Akiiki applauded US military and UPDF gallant sons and daughters for reaching out to the communities especially after the population had gone through LRA insurgency.
"The bridges will help in uplifting development in these areas and hasten implementation of government programs", said Capt Akiiki.
