Late Dr. Apollo Milton Obote was a towering figure in Africa. The lesson often missed is that he started his political career by first uniting the people of Lango. He was a Lango from Apac but was elected to parliament by the Lango people of Otuke and Alebtong. After uniting Lango he united Uganda and he later became a founding father of the East African Community and the African Union( OAU).
Please correct one error. He was not the first Head of State of Uganda. When he was Prime Minister the Head of State was Queen Elizabeth II and later on Kabaka Mutesa II.

It is important to bring out true history of Lango people and other Ugandands cronologicaly. Ugandands have twisted and abused Lango history and contribution to modern Uganda. I am happy you are on board. We shall ably contribute topically.

A couple of queries:
1. Why no critical comment about Idi Amin?
2. Why back this vdeo with the South African National Anthem, Nkosi Sikelele Africa? There were other variants north of the Limpopo. Matendarera Afrika.
