Leaders of Tekwaro Lango have urged thousands of their subjects worldwide never to listen to cultural saboteurs, whose motives of dividing and misleading the people of Lango have now become apparent.
MPs Betty Amongi (Oyam South), Fred Ebil Ebil (Kole), Ruth Acan (Kole), Jimmy Akena Obote (Lira Municipality) and Lucy Ajok (Apac) are top on the list of suspected cultural saboteurs in Lango. The group recently boycotted a mega development conference held in Lira town. Amongi has continued with her malicious campaign against Tekwaro Lango by persistently accusing the organisers of Lango Conference 2012 of fraud.
Awitim Dr. Eng. Micheal Odongo, also the clan head of Okar-Omwono and the Executive Director of National Road Fund has referred to such people as saboteurs. He said those who ever thought they would continue dividing the people of Lango should forget because the people are now more united following the recent three days conference.
“After that conference which was highly sabotaged by greedy, selfish and non-performing political leaders we are now happy that we have done something. We can now get moving as far as development is concerned. We must be together”, he stressed.
